Places to Go

The High Line

The High Line is a historic elevated rail line turned beautiful public park with beautiful views
of NYC. Stroll through its gardens, view rotating art installations, or catch a live performance.

23rd Street and 10th Avenue

Dia Chelsea

Dia Chelsea is an art museum just around the corner from our celebration. Our first trip out of town together was to the spectacular Dia Beacon in the Hudson Valley, where we were captivated by the works of Andy Warhol and Richard Serra. Dia Chelsea was the first art museum in Chelsea when it opened in 1987; you can read more here.

537 West 22nd Street

Sullivan Street Bakery

This bakery holds a special place in our hearts. Many of our early dates were spent here, sipping coffee outside. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a cappuccino, relax, and watch the neighborhood pups stroll by. Don’t miss their artisanal sandwiches, made with homemade sourdough.

236 9th Ave

Shukette

This Middle Eastern restaurant is one of our neighborhood favorites and conveniently
right next to the church. Be sure to try the tahini soft serve topped with halva—it’s a must!
Pro tip: make a reservation ahead of time.

230 9th Ave

Billy’s Bakery

Billy’s may be known for its cupcakes, but our favorite order is their Hello Dolly bars,
paired with a mini cheesecake.

184 9th Ave

Chelsea Square Diner

As a teenager, Peter often shared lunch or dinner with his Uncle Frank Telegadis,
working alongside him at the family-run London Terrace Flower Shop just across the street.
P.S. Chelsea Square Diner doesn’t do anything small…especially their wine pours!
